This app has helped me find authorized dealers selling good condition cars.
It would be better if theres a side by side comparison up to 4 cars highlighting a few key points like price, special features, average fuel consumption for that specific make/model/year, engine type/specs, sample average repair costs, maintenance costs (like average cost for a set of all season tires), etc.
Kind of hard to see having to flip from 1 car to another.
I use the app often and am very pleased with it. It is vastly superior to the website search methodology used in past by AutoTrader. On rare occasions the app does fail or retrieves strange results, but that is a very minor annoyance. Pop up ads on the app are rare and not an issue. I use it on an iPad Pro.
This app is so handy and efficient for my car buying/selling needs.
I am a car enthusiast and check this app pretty much everyday.
Amazing
You can always depend on autoTRADER to have the largest listing of cars. Easy searching from your local area to country wide. Many search criterias to narrow your search to find the perfect car for you. Listings from dealers and private sellers.
Some bad moments
Give smaller locations to pick from. Im north of Toronto and dont want to see items from Quebec. Give more of an option between 250km and 500km from a location. That is all for now.
Took the 20 mins to put in all pertinent information, to get a email saying ad wasnt approved
Why are you not listening to what people want??
The app still requires you to have location server either "always on" or off. They need to allow you to have it "only while using". (most people dont want to think they are being tracked 24/7)
Why did you get rid of the distance? If you search within province or within country. Which in an e-mail exchange with them, they just told me exactly what I already knew. they couldnt answer why it had changed.
So AutoTrader I ask you this...
If I am searching national, I know the car is obviously within the country. It makes much more sense to always show how far the car is away from your location.
If I Google search for the best Pizza place in Ontario and Google just stated their location to be “Within Ontario” that wouldn’t really help me much would it?
And I understand that if you search by KM away you are able to see the distance from you however for example, I want to search cars within Ontario, but I would still like to know how far away the car is. If I set my search criteria to 500KM then I end up getting a bunch of the cars from Quebec which I don’t want in my results. If I set my search results to 250KM then I only get the results for less then half the province.
It used to always show the distance to your location which was perfect.
Every time I try to edit my add, it wants me to repost a brand new one from scratch (the website does the same too)The pictures are flipped sideways and are not editable. The add review process doesnt update my post sometimes and left my potential buyers confused because it was outdated info. Overall very disappointed and will try to find a different app to use next time.
